Privacy Policy
The short version
We don't run analytics, set cookies, show ads or ask you to sign up. The gap explainer runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you type into it is saved or sent to us.
What we collect
We do not collect personal data through this website. There are no accounts, forms that submit to us, or newsletter sign-ups.
The gap explainer
Everything you enter in the gap explainer is processed by code running on your own device. It isn't transmitted to our servers or any third party, and it isn't stored after you close or reload the page. Copying a draft uses your browser's clipboard and nothing else.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf and may log request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not access raw logs outside of incident response.
Sponsor links
If a labeled sponsor link is present on the site, clicking it passes through a short redirect that records only that a click happened and which page it came from. It does not record who you are. Once you arrive on a sponsor's site, their privacy policy applies. See thedisclosure page for current sponsors.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies.
If you email us, we'll use your message and address only to reply and to fix whatever you've told us about. We don't add you to any list.
Third parties
We do not share, sell, or broker any visitor data.
Your rights
Under GDPR and CCPA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold. Apart from any email you send us, we hold none. Contact contact@complicated.workwith any privacy questions.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
